Activate or deactivate OneDrive in the registry

If OneDrive does not start and you want to disable it completely in Windows 10, these instructions will help:

  1. Open the registry with Windows key + R and the command “redegit”.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\OneDrive\DisableFileSync.
  3. Pay attention to the value “DisableFileSync”. If this is set to 1, OneDrive is deactivated. Change it to 0 so that the application can start again.
